Methodology
How AnalystScope approaches company analysis.
AnalystScope is designed to turn company fundamentals into a clean, interpretable research workflow. The current product emphasizes transparent structure, refreshed core data, and practical decision support rather than opaque model output.
1. Normalized financials
AnalystScope organizes revenue, margin, cash flow, and balance-sheet information into a standardized format so different companies can be reviewed in a consistent way. The goal is to highlight the operating profile of each business before moving into valuation judgments.
2. Key ratios
Ratio analysis is used as a diagnostic layer. Multiples, returns on capital, and operating efficiency metrics help frame quality, growth durability, and valuation context relative to sector benchmarks.
3. Valuation approach
Valuation is presented as a weighted framework rather than a single-point answer. AnalystScope combines base DCF thinking with relative multiple cross-checks so fair value can be interpreted with more discipline and less reliance on any one assumption set.
4. Buy / Hold / Sell framework
The recommendation framework is intended to be simple and transparent. Ratings are anchored to implied upside or downside versus weighted fair value, with Buy generally reserved for meaningfully positive return gaps, Hold for tighter valuation ranges, and Sell for clear downside cases. Confidence is then framed by valuation dispersion, operating margin quality, and balance-sheet strength.
5. Current platform scope
The current version uses a curated 10-company coverage universe: MSFT, NVDA, AAPL, GOOGL, AMZN, META, AVGO, ORCL, AMD, NFLX. It combines live price context, filing and reported fundamentals, refreshed normalized annual statements, and separate quarterly or TTM monitoring. The annual normalized backbone remains the main company-analysis view, while quarterly data is used to monitor what is changing around that thesis.
You can view the current public coverage universe on the Coverage page or read the fundamental analysis guide for the core investing concepts behind the workflow.
